We held a very successful trial for our Centre Age Group Representative teams last night and it is our pleasure to announce the following teams for 2011.  ALL GIRLS named are to commence training at the Kerikeri Sports Complex on Tuesday 24 June @ 3.30pm.  CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL.

FUN FERNS

The Kerikeri Netball Centre Fun Ferns will programme will be at the Kerikeri Netball Centre courts at the Keri Sports Complex, Raemarie Kapa Drive, Kerikeri.

Fun Ferns netball is an open netball league for Year 1 and Year 2  players both boys and girls and is designed to meet the needs of young children with a focus on skill development and preparing them to play the game of Netball in a structured, enjoyable and progressive manner.  The programme will focus on running, passing, stopping, jumping and landing as its main themes.

The games and activities are organised and run by our teenage student leaders and role models who will be overseen by volunteer members of the Kerikeri Netball centre games committee.

Kerikeri Netball centre offer’s a wide range of experience, advice, coaching and umpiring courses.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES

The Kerikeri Netball Centre runs school holiday programmes are held normally in the last week of the two mid year school holiday breaks.  The programme is open to athletes from the age 7 to 13 or Years 3 to Years 8 and is available for both boys and girls.

The programme moves towards combining skills in activities and lead-up games with the athletes participating in small-sided games with some netball rules.   The emphasis is to encourage participation with the emphasis on fun, saftey and development appropriate to the age and level of the players.
